I love this. I think you characterized girl!Kirk really well and you developed the relationship between Kirk and Nyota so well, I mean by the end I just kind of wanted to squish them together and hug them tightly. I also liked your inclusion of Spock, Gaila and McCoy it all felt very natural, and I am really starting to agree with Kirk's analysis of Spock/Uhura, but I digress. Seriously though that ending just makes me ridiculously happy, and Bones and Kirk being best friends no matter what is always important, Bones pushing for Uhura/girl!Kirk just makes me want to grin goofily.

Also this line: "because she thinks it might honestly end in high-fives" read so purely as Uhura, and so indicative of what would happen, and probably does happen, between Kirk and Gaila, just impressive how you can fit three good characterizations and humor into one little line.
