All right, this is a bit useless now since it's still all linked to LJ rather than DW, so to find my fic you can either look below to go to LJ, use the tags on the right to read on here, or read my fic here at the AO3!

Yuletide!

Hi, my Yuletide author! I'm absolutely dying right now at the sight of "Gifts (1)" waiting for me, but as of tomorrow morning I won't have reliable internet access until Tuesday the 27th! But I'm so excited to read your story - thank you so much already for taking the time to write one for me. Happy holidays, if you're celebrating any in the next few days! And a very happy Yuletide reveal!
primetime: danny, in a long lean (danny)
I go away for months and come back with the longest fic I've ever written, in a fandom I really did not expect to get interested in, for a couple of buddy cops. I don't know. Also I moved to DW, though I'll be crossposting hopefully. Also I set up a AO3 account, which I'm really enjoying now that I've figured out where most everything is.

How to Keep Your Mouth Shut
Hawaii 5-0, Danny/Steve
Explicit; 10,074 words

Danny’s sometimes gay. Gay, sometimes. Does dudes. He doesn’t know how to say it right. He doesn’t know how to say it at all.

Read it here at AO3 or below the cut.

Sweetest
Office US, Jim/Pam circa like early season 4. I haven't written fic in ages, so obviously what I've written is dirty porn for a couple no one wants to read porn for, for a narrative that's way over, for a show I don't think anyone watches anymore? Okay, well I wanted to read this so I wrote it. NC-17, for porn and for porning up a couple that is totally not sexy. I don't know.

'They are just the sweetest, couple, ever,' Pam hears Kelly sigh as they leave the office.  )

hey yuletide writer, if you come by here, I just wanted to let you know that I am SO EXCITED for your story but I'm going to be out of town for a few days, from thursday to probably sunday! I'm so sorry, this is such an inconvenient time to not have internet access, but I saw that I had a gift and got so psyched and will be so happy to read it when I get back!

Yuletide!

Yeah, I have not been around. It sucks a little, but I promise I was at least achieving my life goal of watching all 21 seasons of the Simpsons. January 1 next year, I officially get to lay down crazy RL stuff and come back, I have SWORN. Anyways:

Yuletide! RAD. )
primetime: (ouch)
Just got back from vacation to North Carolina- internet access was kind of spotty, so sorry if I missed any important posts! I hiked until my blisters were whining about blisters, and then hiked more, so I am pretty much going to spend tonight soaking my feet in warm water and whimpering. But it was a ridiculously good time so I can't and won't complain.

I'm working at a law firm now, doing paralegal stuff for an attorney who does divorces and child custody cases for the state. My fifth summer there and it's still KIND OF DEPRESSING :( But I just stole a bike off my friend who's leaving for university for the rest of the summer, so I'm going to try to soak in some sunshine and maybe work up to some real trails and such. I biked for the first time today since I was a little kid on a bike with colored streamers, and my legs are wobbly but I feel better about all those peanut butter cookies I just ate. Ultimate goal: to be able to bike to work! It's only a bit under five miles, but there's a bunch of hills and busy streets, so, you know, MAYBE.

OH, and I just finished Dexter S3. Cutting for casting spoilers? IDK, to be safe. )

Hand Over Fist
girl!Kirk/Uhura; 6,950 words; NC-17
Holy shit, it's been a long time since I posted fic. I think close to 7,000 words of Kirk being the worst temporary roommate ever is a good way to break that streak.

Kirk’s supposedly some kind of genius. )
primetime: (ouch)
Things are settling down! I think I might just be a high-stress person, because looking over the last two weeks, they haven't really involved that much work, but I'm feeling a deep sense of relief anyway, so, you know, yikes.

Cut for way too much detail about the things I am worrying about )
primetime: (stuffing that talented face)
Hey flist! I have pretty much finally emerged from last semester, having clawed my way to the surface via long hours spent in the fetal position on the floor of the library. I got a four -day summer break and now I'm taking an intensive intro to Latin class in the interest of both starting and finishing a classics minor in one school year. It's pretty pathetic that I've taken two years of Latin and yet remember nothing, but it's a good time and an excuse to stay in sunny Montreal for the summer.

SUMMER. Oh my god. I'm going to catch up on my flist and write fic (WRITE FIC! I have written nothing in six months. I don't even want to write anything. The only show I watch with any particular attention is the Simpsons. BART/MRS. KRABAPPEL TOTALLY NOT IRONIC OTP) and see SUNLIGHT. SO EXCITED.

Oh, also, I know I have some hardcore J. Ackles fans on my flist- I'm looking for a really old picture of him. It's some kind of candid, on set for something pre-Supernatural (I think), he's in a white t-shirt, and his hair is slicked back really dorkily. I could probably go vaguer, SOMEHOW. Let me know if this sounds familiar?

Look, I'm updating!

1) I had a date last night that fizzled out incredibly awkwardly, but fizzled out which is the important thing! I just kind of agonized about getting into something I didn't want to and went home relieved. And I saw Race to Witch Mountain, which was cute, and observed that Dwayne Johnson does really cute little-kid-movie-comedy face.

2) I haven't caught up on the last few SPN episodes, which is sad. Classes end April 14, my last final's April 29, and that's pretty much when I'll get around to that, I suspect.

3) AVATAR, though. OH MY GOD. I LOVE THEM ALL. AND TOPH ESPECIALLY AND SOKKA AND KATARA AND ALLLLLL OF THEM. Only halfway through season two but oh my god, I want to hug this show and feed it and keep it close forever.

4) Fuck, I always feel like I should rec something or have real fandom content but I haven't got any. Uh, onehundredpushups.com is an awesome program and everyone should do it with me. My shoulders hurt :(
primetime: (daddy's boy)
I've been so absent lately, it's pathetic. IDK, school happens, and this term it's happening all over my weekends. I think I'm going to take a two-month introductory Latin course over the summer, so that I can A) do a classics minor next year and B) stay in Montreal as long as possible instead of heading home to my tiny suburban town.

Uh, I got a fic from [livejournal.com profile] hardlygolden for [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_xmas and it's incredible. I have a giant space in my heart reserved for CPS weechester fic, and this is CPS weechester fic ramped up to a billion with an extra dose of horrifying and heart-wrenching and creepy, in the best possible way. This fic has REDEFINED THE TROPE for me, and I've reread it so many times it's probably unhealthy, and everyone on my flist who loves that sort of thing needs to go read it ASAP: and pray to god i see headlights

This season has been A+ (mostly, though I haven't seen the latest episode and don't know anything about it yet) but I really miss the dynamics of season two. All I want is fic about Dean and his daddy issues and Sam going dark-side properly. OH YES AND SAM/RUBY, IF ANYBODY HAS SOME RECS, I'M A LITTLE DESPERATE.

Criminal Minds was not new this week and I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT. Big Bang Theory is wonderfully mediocre, and I'm going to finish mainlining it this weekend. IDK, that's all. Back to backreading my flist. Please don't judge me for leaving comments on posts like a week old :( LOL FAILURE.
primetime: (cherries)
I'm already totally bogged down in school work, but 1) my subletter's nice, quiet and polite, which either means I got lucky or all that fervent praying worked, 2) I just received the best NYR fic ever, hands-down. Completely a surprise to see this in my inbox, and I basically haven't stopped rereading it since.

Yearning to Be Learning How to Fly
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Penny gen, by the amazing [livejournal.com profile] etothepii

Her first boyfriend is because when she's in the 8th grade, Penny doesn't know how to say no.

Devon is two years older than her, because he got held back a year. Twice. He grabs her arm and pulls her into the shadows behind the main school building, and he says, "You'll be my girlfriend, right?"

She thinks, you smoke in the bathrooms during class, and she remembers, they say you almost got expelled because you punched a teacher last year. But what she says is, "I like you..." and before she can say "but", he's grinning and pressing a bruising kiss against her mouth.

Hands-down best Penny backstory I've read. What an awesome surprise.

Last Fair Deal Gone Down

For [livejournal.com profile] undermistletoe, Day 22: Someone wins the lottery. Title from the Robert Johnson song of the same name.

Dean was hiding something. )

I got my Yuletide assignment! My recipient wrote out awesome prompts. I am nervous but very excited.

That's pretty much all I wanted to say, so here is an extremely short 4x08 coda/drabble.

Untitled, 242 words

Dean doesn't flinch at the dead bodies anymore. )
primetime: (cherries)
Dear Yuletide Santa,

I'm so excited! I know my requests were super-short so I thought I'd expand, in case you wanted more detailed prompts.

YULETIDE! :D :D :D )
Thank you again, mystery writer! I'm going to be so happy to get whatever you write.
primetime: (sam with gun)
Goes Down Easy
Sam/Dean, 2,515 words, NC-17
Sam and Dean deal with a fire spirit.

So here’s the thing Dean hates about Sam’s new powers: sometimes he just feels a little bit useless. )
